Interesting, i have not seen that.

At first glance it has a Tuba 36 thing goin on.

Is there a general range of specs, or something to guage their frequency response limitations by?

I assume they're designed to run in clusters for maximum performance? (KF-940's really need to be in clusters of 4 or more to create effective intestinal distress at 20hz)

I know my preferences for a horn sub have pointed me to those that do not use a constrained throat, and use smooth radiused bends rather than obtuse reflective angled bends in the horn path, to my ears they seem to have a more articulate and lifelike sound than abbreviated versions which always seem to have resonant "hot zones" in their BW.

Once upon a time i used to think the Cerwin Vega portable earthquakes were "all that". Last time i heard them in a system they struck me as "one note wonders", and a few minutes in the same room with them was a large enough dose to last me the rest of my days.

Pretty sure.

Seems they were based on the EAW horn or something very similar, they were maybe 5 or 6 feet on the longest dimension, spec'd sonotube of a couple different diameters to get the correct radiuses for the bends, seems like a long 13-15 foot horn path. It's been a while, maybe 10 years so my recollect isn't keen. They could have even possibly been a tapped horn arrangement.

Bear in mind you can gain a lot with corner placement. Some work best facing into a corner, some facing out. The corner placement can affect the 20-40 Hz octave greatly.

If you scour the forums, many horns are simulated by members.
